Ambroise MARTIN
a doctor and former intern at Hôpitaux de Lyon, Dr Ambroise Martin is professor of Biochemistry and Nutrition at the Lyon Faculty of Medicine.
His research work, as team leader within the INSERM 189 unit of Lyon, covers nutritional regulations on the synthesis of glycoproteins.
As a nutritional expert, he was long time member of the CSHPF (Conseil Supérieur d'Hygiène Publique de France) and the CEDAP (Commission d'Étude des Aliments Destinés à une Alimentation Particulière), both organisations being now merged within the French Food Safety Agency (AFSSA) created by the 1999 Act.
Since the foundation of the AFSSA until August 2004, Ambroise Martin was Director of the DERNS (Direction de l'Évaluation des Risques Nutritionnels et Sanitaires). He is currently:
Ambroise Martin was strongly involved in drafting the different food guides of the PNNS, for which he coordinated the scientific drafting at the AFSSA.
