How do you explain society's enthusiasm for nutritional issues?
Nutritional issues are not only better known to the general public but are also increasingly visible, with the development of obesity and certain food disorders. Eating is a daily and essential action which affects us all profoundly.
What preconceptions remain concerning a balanced diet?
When people look at the results of surveys, the main preconception is that their own diet is necessarily balanced. We all remember good diet tips but which are difficult to put into practice. It is therefore essential today to help and support consumers find their way.
Can you present the Nutrition & Balance programme developed by Accor Services?
The Nutrition & Balance programme has two objectives: improving nutritional quality of menus in restaurants and making it easy for consumers to choose their meals.
This programme is perfectly in line with the concerns and recommendations of the World Health Organisation (WHO) and the Health Nutrition Programme (PNNS) in France.
But as eating is above all a moment of pleasure, we have of course taken on board fundamental factors such as reasonable prices, flavour and conviviality.
